The role reports functionally to the Regional HR Operations Director. As a key a member of the Middle East HR team, the incumbent will have strategic, operational and project related responsibilities, ensuring that business critical issues are prioritised and managed as well as developing the Atkins brand as an Employer of Choice.

Principal Acountabilities

Conceive and lead reward projects and initiatives to develop the Atkins reward offering in the Middle East and continually improve the delivery of reward programmes across the region.
Provide ad-hoc reward consultancy and expert advice to HR and business leaders in the region. Examples might include: package re-structuring, senior hire package design etc.
Keep up to date with changing external factors, such as country specific legislative changes or technical innovation and how this might impact on existing programmes to ensure compliance.
Continually develop HR and line manager understanding of how reward should be utilised to achieve the greatest return on investment
Lead the ME annual reward cyclical events (as a part of a cross region project team). Accountabilities in annual cycles will include:
Establishing the regional principles and approach to compensation cyles
Facilitating regional approval for compensation proposals
Provision of market data to support compensation decisions
Developing region specific reward communications and guidanc
Local benefits supplier management and renewal activities
Any redesign work or enhancements required for the Middle East Region that will be applied during the annual cycles by the project team
Account management for benefit providers
Develop and manage HR budgets as appropriate
Work with colleagues in Group reward to ensure the effective delivery of Group reward programmes and to ensure that Group reward is aligned with regional requirements

Relationships – Internal

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key business stakeholders in order to understand reward issues and priorities.
Develop effective working relationships with Regional Finance teams as to understand the financial and commercial issues of the business
Establish a reputation for being credible, reliable and for getting things done.
Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in central and regional HR functions as necessary including the International Mobility Team and Regional Reward Consultants.

Relationships – External

Develop and manage relationships with supply chain partners as appropriate to gain maximum value from such relationships.
Benchmark with peer group HR professionals in the region to keep abreast with current practices
Requirements

Requirements

Degree educated, ideally in a numerate discipline.
Demonstrable progressive Reward experience at a senior level in a complex professional services environment
Proven experience of managing Reward activities within a multinational organisation across the Middle East Region
Proven experience and expertise in implementing HR Systems and processes.
Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
Able to manage the complexity of delivering to meet business needs and doing so within Middle East Reward framework.
Experience in planning, managing and successfully delivering on a large change project involving numerous stakeholders.
Grounded commercial understanding of how the business works
Personal style and magnetism enabling influence when communicating, presenting and writing.
Independent and confident and able to challenge with credibility.
Discrete and trusted when offering advice.
